It was meant to be our Christmas concert tonight. The kids had been practicing for weeks, we've been creating props etc for the show... and then it started raining earlier this week - so unfortunately tonight's show had to be postponed. Of course, as is typical for New Zealand, you get 4 seasons in a day. By the day we locked up the centre the sun had come back out and it turned into a lovely evening. So Matt and I decided to pop down to the beach for a look.
Had a nice walk along McGregor's, but sadly found a dead baby blue penguin. Buried it under the sand. There's been a few washed up lately...poor little bugger :-(
